What to expect...

Third grade is a year of firsts. In third grade the students start to use planners to keep track of their homework. This is also the first year that the students switch classes.

Third graders make the transition from learning to read to reading to learn. We do novel studies and develop our reading comprehension skills and strategies. Third grade is the year that a lot of new concepts are introduced, such as multiplication, division, and fractions.

Third graders also receive their scapulars which is a call of protection from Mother Mary.
